Chris King hubs, some of the most highly sought after components in the bicycle industry, are both engineering masterpieces and examples of meticulous craftsmanship.
All Chris King hubs are easily adjustable and simple to work on, requiring only two hex wrenches and a pen knife for regular maintenance. The R45 hubset has its own all-new stainless steel sealed bearings. As with every King bearing, these bearings are made in-house in Portland, Oregon and individually hand-checked for precision and smoothness.

Hewitt Cycles are suppliers of top quality, race bikes, touring bikes, Audax bikes, time-trial bikes and mountain bikes. We are also known for our expertise in bicycle wheel building and have an enviable reputation the world over for the quality of our custom built bicycle wheels.
Where Hewitt Cycles differ from most, if not all other bike shops, is our bike fitting, we believe that any bike purchased from Hewitt Cycles must fit the rider correctly, for this reason we provide our comprehensive bike fitting procedure free of charge with every bike we sell, we always have and we always will. We cannot understand how a shop can sell a quality bike that doesn't fit the rider correctly.
Hewitt Cycles first opened in June 1994 and within a short period of time established itself as a shop that could fulfil the needs of serious cyclists be that racing in all of its various forms or the more recreational cyclist, audax and touring and the like.
Suppliers of products and services to some of the UK’s top racing cyclists, amateur and professional, at all levels from local through to national, world, commonwealth and Olympic champions.
All this from an extremely small shop - less than 600 sq.ft. Following several favourable magazine reviews and the success of our Cheviot range of touring cycles it was necessary and possible for us to move to our current, larger premises on Preston Road in Leyland, Lancashire.
